AS STUDY SKILLS DAY MON 10 FEB 14

An AS Study Skills Day is being organised by The Royal Geogrpahical Society on Monday 10th Feb 2014. The day will include a number of workshops on key AS topics, which you can select to attend. There will be a charge of £10, which included lunch. Because we are members of the RGS this represents a considerable saving on the full price of £25 per person.

A letter is available on the G Drive for you to download, print, complete and return, with £10 cash or a cheque made payable to "Crown Woods College".

When more details and a programme of events becomes available, I will publish on the blog.

A2 STUDY DAY

We are due to attend the RGS A2 Study Day on Monday 14th October. Have a look at the workshops so that you have a good idea of what you will want to sign up for on arrival.
Please note that you will be provided with a sandwich lunch and so no other food can be taken into the RGS. Also note that you will not be permitted to leave the building during the day.

Yr 12 AS Geography: Unit 2 Mr Wilson

Between now and Monday 21 October you should all carry out the following activities:

1. If you have not already done so, download a copy of the Specification for the course (there is a copy in the resources folder on the G Drive)
2. In your own time complete the practical "re-branding of Eltham" investigation and have a look at the results.
3. Read pages 43-48 of the Specification, which covers Topic 4 (Rebranding Places).
4. Using your text books, research rebranding places and make notes in your folders.
5. Complete the essay (1000 words): "Why is re-branding needed in some places?"
